2012 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Results: Oakland, CA

By: Lindsey Lovell | Saturday, January 28, 2012

It was a tragic week for the JGR team when they learned Mark “Tex” Adams, James Stewart’s practice mechanic, was killed when he was hit by a car while helping out a stranded driver. Stewart and the crew buckled down and went out and won—and did it in memory of Tex.

This is the race for the title, Reed vs. Villopoto vs. Stewart vs. Dungey (not shown) On this night it was Stewart - the fourth winner in four rounds. Kardy Photo

Eli Tomac is on fire - he not only won in Oakland - he also posted the fourth fastest time of the night if you were to toss his times in with the 450s. Kardy Photo

That was nice of Reed to let Stewart win one for Tex.
