Stroupe-Loop got a good start in the main, but Blake Wharton was just too fast to make time on. He did manage to run down a fading Izzi and pressure him into a mistake, where he was able to get by and claim 2nd. He was clearly upset with his performance after the race, but maybe he shouldn't be, because Wharton was riding on rails with a clear track for the entire race.
