Stewart, Reed and Windham. It was a battle royale out front, but Windham was all alone in 3rd.

James and Chad have unsettled business - and don't listen to what they say in their interviews - it's personal now, and there's absolutely no love lost between these guys. The post-race confrontation between the two was a doozy, and was fairly close to coming to blows. Things are getting tense, that much is for sure.

Reedy holeshot, Stewie just a few behind. It took James 12 laps to reel in Reed, and when he did, he had a real battle on his hands. The two went back and forth several times before Reed fell back, although possibly (or at least partially) because damaged sustained to his bike during the battle.

Downtown Jacksonville on a gorgeous spring day, the battle royale was waged. It was a great night for racing, too bad nobody showed up.

Pourcel holeshot and easily ran away with his heat. In the main, he had a tougher time, having to run down Wil Hahn to take the win.

James and Chad were this close for much of the main event, and it was a great thing to witness. James would quickly reel Chad in, but then would bobble and lose a few bike lenghts, while Chad just clicked off solid lap after solid lap.

Izzi was already having a rough night, and that was before he came up very short on the big triple and planted his bike into the face... and his heal into the bottom of his boot. Nico suffered a reported compound fracture of his heel bone, which can't be good, and which surely requires a long time to heal. Good luck Nico.

Oopsy Stroupesy, this corner just after the first turn caught a lot of guys off guard (like Stroupe and Stewart), sending them over the bars after the front end washed out and they high-side after it found traction again. Stroupe suffered his fate in his heat, as did Stewart.

Pourcel caught and dropped Wil Hahn (Left) for the win, while Austin Stroupe (on the right) forced his way through the pack from 10th to 3rd by the checkers.

James Stewart started the night out right by grabbing the holeshot and running away with his heat race. Jason Lawrence worked his way up into 2nd, going past Ivan Tedesco and Broc Hepler on his way.

Lawrence, despite looking great in his heat race, went down early in the main event and only completed 6 laps. He did have a chance to park Broc Hepler, though, so he's got that going for him. He DNF on lap 6, for reasons unknown but mostly likely to dropping his bike in a corner.

Pourcel hunted down holeshot winner Wil Hahn after a pursuit that lasted roughly half of the main event. Pourcel is very careful when picking his way through traffic, which is in stark contrast to his teammate Stroupe's approach. Stroupe made it all the way from 3rd after starting 11th.

Stewart was also having a hard time in his heat race, when leader Ivan Tedesco aggressively countered Stewart's attempt to get by early on. It was a breath of fresh (albeit short-lived) air that set the tone for the night with regard to good racing.

Stewart also had to deal with Mike Alessi for several laps, who was able to keep the pace surprisingly high during their heat race and stay up front for much longer than many had predicted. Alessi's brilliance was not reproduced in the main, however.

When the occupants of the Industry seating section at a supercross race are on their feet and cheering, you know the racing is great. The battle between these two guys was one for the ages, and it was quite clear that both riders absolutely rode the wheels off their bikes. It was a bit reminiscent of RC's last supercross race against Stewart in Orlando just a few short years ago.
