2009 Kawasaki MXers
A sneak peak at the new bikes.

2009 Kawasaki Motocrossers

Add one more manufacturer to the list of companies offering an electronic fuel injected bike, because Kawasaki has now entered the battle with their re-designed KX450F. The biggest change to the bike is the fuel injection, but there were also a host of other changes with the aim of making a more durably and reliable bike.

As for the other motocrossers in Kawi’s line-up, the KX250F also received a number of changes that include making it sleeker, faster, and more durably. For 2009, Kawasaki is also offering a black Monster Energy edition for each one of the current MX models.

For more information of these bikes, be sure to check back here on Motocross.com for a full review of the 250F and 450F, as we’ll dig deeper into what makes these bikes better than the previous years. For now, we’re going to list off the specs for the green machines. Have fun, and try not to drool too much…

intense power of... what???... a 2stroke??? dude, pull ur head out of ur ass. 2strokes are for pansies that can't handle a 4stroke.

Listen man, 2stroke ,4stroke ,does it really matter? they both have positives and negatives. It just comes down to ,i think, rider preference.I have a 250f now but i must admit to y'all i miss the smell of premix. HAHa

too bad they stopped making the 125 two stroke..i dont know about the 250.. but the prices of the bikes keep going up thats the only downfall besides that they're amazing!

booo 4 strokes suck my 125 gets all over my 250f
Posted on December 10, 2008 05:26 PM
The 450 is 9 pounds heavier then last year. I dont think EFI is worth adding 9 pounds when every little pound counts on a motocross/supercross bike. And to top it all off the 09 bikes are $300-500 more. Why pay $7500 for a heavy 4 stroke when you can get a light 2 stroke for $6000? I was looking forward to the new 4 stokes, but I have to say I am very dissapointed.

you're another idiot, i just corrected the other idiot, the CURB weight is 9 pounds heavier then last year's DRY weight. CURB, C-U-R-B, means the bike is full of gas, oil etc.

Haha, it was the same guy commenting on both bike articles...

You're 18 years old on a CR85. The idiot is?
Posted on December 10, 2008 05:26 PM
dry weight of 08 CRF450, YZF etc was 217-220 CURB weight is 238 (ready to ride full tank of gas), same as the other 450's. EFI's are heavier smart guy.
