2009 Kawasaki MXers
A sneak peak at the new bikes.

2009 Kawasaki Motocrossers

Add one more manufacturer to the list of companies offering an electronic fuel injected bike, because Kawasaki has now entered the battle with their re-designed KX450F. The biggest change to the bike is the fuel injection, but there were also a host of other changes with the aim of making a more durably and reliable bike.

As for the other motocrossers in Kawi’s line-up, the KX250F also received a number of changes that include making it sleeker, faster, and more durably. For 2009, Kawasaki is also offering a black Monster Energy edition for each one of the current MX models.

For more information of these bikes, be sure to check back here on Motocross.com for a full review of the 250F and 450F, as we’ll dig deeper into what makes these bikes better than the previous years. For now, we’re going to list off the specs for the green machines. Have fun, and try not to drool too much…

really thats why just about every pro rides a 4 stroke now? and 4 strokes are more reliable faster and have more torque...i will give the two strokes getting out of the corner faster but thats it.

"The KX450 is a badass bike and would smoke any light 2-stroke in any compatition [sic]?" Do you realize how stupid of a comment that is??? Think about it: a 450 4-stroke has about 50 HP (peak) and a 250 2-stroke has about 47 (Yamaha); the only reason a 450 can beat a 250 2-stroke is because of the displacement advantage that the AMA gave the 4-strokes. In comparison, a 250 4-stroke has about 34 hp compared to a 250 2-strokes 47...do the math genius. Not to mention a 250 2-stroke is much lighter than a 450...
