Nick Wey is a fan favorite, and has been for quite a long time. However, lately his actual race results haven’t been what people had come to expect from him. This year, with this in mind, he has teamed up with old friend Alan Brown to put together a program on Kawasakis, hoping to bring his results back to where he thinks they should be. Rockstar Energy Suzuki’s Hunter Hewitt has been a pro for a few years now. His dad, Bobby Hewitt, owns the Rockstar Energy Suzuki race team, and when Hunter hit the pros, he had a ride right away, for obvious reasons. However, his results weren’t that great, and a lot of talk began about whether or not he had his ride for the right reasons. So, in 2011, he stepped aside and raced as a privateer, to his best results of his career – top 10 in the East Lites points, with top finishes of sixth in Atlanta, seventh in St. Louis, and eighth at the Vegas finale. Now, he’s back on the team, having earned the ride legitimately, and he’s looking forward to proving some things in 2012.
