Hey All -

Ok ... While there are still changes and such in the works... it seems for the most part the dust has settled. Fortunately it seems most of you have remained, as opposed to moving on (As many of you also stated you would be doing) Ive just been watching and not really saying to much as many tempers were raised and some people really werent going to like the change no matter what (Some people just cant adapt). When I did post It tended to reflect a bit of my frustrations at how many of the users chose to conduct themselves in a way that just wasnt the right way to conduct themselves, and some of the attitudes that were displayed when there were so many people behind the scenes that were working very hard to (In my opinion) put out some good work, just baffled me in every way. Still does!

I wanted to take a few to thank all of you that have stuck it out, adapted, accepted, contributed (In a positive manner) when asked, and decided to stay and help achieve our goals of making this one of the best forums on the web. Of course our goals and all of yours will be different, but Im confident that both sets of goals can be reached and we all can get what we would like from this place.

Again, to everyone of you that have displayed that right kind of attitude... I thank you sincerely and would like to let you know that you made the job easier for the people that were actually doing it ... One of those guys is Sean, the other is Andy, and make no mistake, they appreciate everyone of those posts that displayed the team attitude, and right tone, and being more or less, fairly new to the forum right now, that was you guys (The members) only chance to make a first impression on them, to those of you who easily made the right impression, my hat is off to you, I thank you, I know they thank you as well... I look forward to being part of the one of the best communities on the web and are happy that you (You know who you are) will be a part of that community...

Just trying to say thanks to you guys ...you all know who you are.

Alrighty.

Ok, I'll admit it. I will not lie nor really have to...I was initially 100% against a new forum. I believed it would give MX.com a bad name, make it look like it's a un-used forum (due to all the low post counts, ect) and thought it would make it hard to use due to all the 'Vegas Glam' I see from other forums.

Now, on the flipside.

I'll admit it as well. I was wrong. Very wrong, the new forum is easy to use, maintains the reputabality of MX.com, and is organized.

Thanks for all the work mods, remember my initial views were nothing personal or anything towards anyone, just my views.

Makes it all worthwhile when I read this and now we need to raise post counts and topics as well - I totally agree - now we have a lot of junk gone and a new slate...it's not often that happens.

Now, example, KTMTalk is an awesome board, Pat is an awesome hard worker and very talented !! But they have 30,000 members !!!! Holy Michelin Batman !! That is just for KTM !!

Amazing - if thay can have 30,000 we should be able to have more useful, helpful, newsworthy and on-topic posts as any board out there....

Help us make it so !!

Thanks - Sean

I'm one of those members. I am member #1076. Yup, I've been there a while. Pat ROCKS! And as a kicker, he wrote the code for the forum. The guy is amazing.

This place is sure different from the old board... Sometimes change is a good thing.

I also feel obligated to say thank you to Sean, Andy, and Cody for all the work you guys put into this forum. I'm here almost every day, and I appreciate the fact that you consulted with us beforehand on what we liked in the old forum, and what we thought would make it better. That was a smart move. You all did an excellent job, and in my opinion, all of the objectives are achieved and then some. You guys get an A+.

By the way, I was thinking it would be cool if we could buy Motocross.com stickers to put on our bikes. I'm sure i'm not the only one who would buy some, and it would be a good way to promote the website and the forum.

Bullwinkle, either that, or I think that those "livestrong" armbands would be cool to write "motocross.com" on them or something like that.

I'd buy stickers, but the armband is just a suggestion...I know it was talked about on the old board...

Say... what ever happened to those tee-shirts some people were thinking about making? The ones that said, on the front "What are the chances against beating the 4-stroke revolution...?" and it said on the back "... About 40:1" or something like that. I would DEFFINATLY buy on! Please, if you have ANY details about that, P/M me and let me know details. Thanks a lot!
