Just replaced my water pump in my truck and I have this problem with the air conditioning. The air is really cold but whenever I switch it to heat smoke comes out of my vents. Smells moist and a bit like anitfreeze. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Have fun bud, doing a heater core on most air conditioned vehicles is such a pain in the arse.

If it was an older car with a freon system, it is expensive.

Freon has been outlawed, so you have to change most of the system to comply with the new laws.

I believe you can use R-134?

Ok, thanks! Has anyone every attempted to replace the heater core or just have it serviced by someone?
