Okay guys. You all convinced me to stay w/ the 250f for a year.
Im getting really serious about selling my bike now. Im putting an add in a trading post, news paper, hopefully cycle trader, and i have an add up at the local ktm shop.
I will most likely end up w/ a 2004 250f unless the kid w/ the 2005 kx250f still has that up for sale but i doubt it.
So I know there were a few problems with some of the '04s but what do you think would be best? Im really leaning towards the yamaha. I dont like the feel of them to mch but i could get used to it.

I've heard that said lots of times. Most of those guys are riding two-strokes again.
If you have to get a lawnmower engined dirtbike, get a Yamaha. They are the least likely to blow up if taken care of right.

Don't we all? Or at least I do!
From what I've heard in magazines and stuff, the Yamaha's seem to be really good. They seem to put out the most HP, and it revs to 13,500 RPM's.!
So... I say YZ250F.

Ive never ridden a 250f the only four stroke that i have ridden is a yz 426 that my friend has but from all of the magazines and internet sites the crf or the yzf are the best ones

If your getting an 04 then I would go with the YZF. All the other bikes are first year bike and had their problems. Why chance that when you can buy the bike with the best power and know it will be at less or risk for something to go wrong. Power is king of the 125 class right?

definitly go with a YZF...they have been out the longest so Yamaha has had all of these years to work the kinks out of the bike...just my 2 cents.

YZ250F They dont burn oil like the CRF and they have oil in the frame so they dont have to have 2 different types of oil like the CRF. Yamaha is the most reliable because they were the first to bring back the 4 strokes again, and started making the 250F before anyone could get their 450 out.
