Never pop a wheelie and switch gears while still holding down the accelerater. Trust me, things could get very messy.

Never look at your spare parts in the garage and say "OH I won't need those this weekend." Because those will be the very parts you break.

Don't just ride on any trail, make sure you are allowed on the land.

Obey "no tresspassing" signs, they are there for a reason.

Loud pipes are not cool.

And remember, believe it or not some people hate our sport, lets not give them a reason to take it away.

why do you have to pull the clutch in when you tap the rear break in the air to bring the front wheel down?

if you are someone who keeps braking levers try cutting off the ball part and smooth around edges at the end so you can fit only 2 fingers on.
this prevents bending and stapping wen bike drops

- Always lean forward and (gently) accelerate up the face of a jump. This ensures you don't lose momentum due to the angle of the jump and helps keep the front wheel up.
- Ride slowly the first lap. Many track owners change the track weekly, and finding a new set of whoops immediately after a blind landing is not a nice way to start the day.
- Never underestimate the speed of your bike, or the strength of the ground.
- When cleaning your bike, be sure to get underneath.
- Keep your fingers away from sprockets when lubing the chain.
- Check screws and bolts regularly, dirt bikes vibrate a lot, and stuff just falls off sometimes if you aren't careful.
- Energy drinks are the worst thing to drink in conjunction with MX. They serve to dehydrate rather than hydrate, and are even banned (due to fatalities) in several countries...don't believe the hype, stick with water or gatorade.
