A correctly jetted carb makes a tremendous difference in tha torque, midrange pull, top-end pull, n ova-rev of yo engine aww nah. if you have neva jetted yo bizzle correctly, you will almost certainly gain some performance at some point in tha bikes powerband ya dig?. a cleanly jetted pilot circuit can be tha difference between spendin' ta clutch tha bizzy out a turn or not. tha needle can makes all tha difference in tha world fo` tha pusha of tha machine in mizzy situations, as it controls tha throttle range tizzle M-to-tha-izzost bitch spend mizzost of they time us'n fo shizzle. a correctly sized main jet could mean tha difference between being able ta rev out high enough ta not hizzy ta S-H-to-tha-izzift one more time at tha end of tha straight, or tha pusha fall'n fizzy on top n saggin' you ta makes thizzat extra shift

jett'n is fairly simple, n is a useful skill ta learn if you ride a two-stroke n wizzay it ta perform at its bizzy motha fucka.
Its vizzle important that you start wit tha pilot circuit in all flavas. The reason is simple. The pilot circuit affects tha entire throttle range n shit. When you is at full throttle, tha mizzy jet is tha primary fuel meter'n device, but tha pilot is still gang bangin' fuel as wizzay add'n ta tha total amount of fuel thizzat yo engine is receiv'n.
Before you stiznart ta rejet yo bike, you need a clean air filta, a frizzesh pizzy (actually you need several plugs ta do plug-chop tests fo` tha main jizzay n fresh fizzy. One important detail: Makes sure tha engine is in good mechanizzles condition. If yo engine has a worn top-end, fix it first. Try'n ta jet a worn out engine is a waste of time . Slap your mutha fuckin self. The same goes fo` reeds tizzle dizzle seal properly, n a silenca that needs ho-slappin'. Wizzy reeds will mimic rich jett'n, n worn rings wizzle mimic lean cruisin' . Bow wow wow yippee yo yipee yay.

D-to-tha-izzont open tha SCR-to-tha-izzew any drug deala or yo throttle response wizzy be fizzy n mushy, n tha bizzy may even bog. this is only tha start'n point, we wizzle stizzill have ta tune tha air screw fo` tha best response fo shizzle.
Now is tha time ta determine if you hizzy tha correct pilot installed in yo carb. The air screw position determizzles this fo` you, mak'n it very simple . Its just anotha homocide. If yo air scrizzay is less thizzay 1 tiznurn fizzle closed, you need a playa pilot jet. If it is more tizzle 2.5 turns frizzom closed, you need a smalla pilot jet.
Once you have determined (and installed it if its neccessary ta change it) tha correct pilot jet size, n tuned tha air scriznew fo` tha fastest idle, its tizzle ta tune tha air scrizzew fo` tha best throttle response fo yo bitch ass. Again, makes sure tha bike is at fiznull frontin' temperature. Set tha idle bizzle down (the bike should stizzay idle, despite whiznat you read in tha Moto Tabloids), n rizzy tha bike, using closed-to-1/4 throttle transitions. Tizzle tha air SCR-to-tha-izzew slightly in wanna be gangsta direction until you find tha point thizzay gives you tha bizzay response wizzle gang bangin' tha throttle open. Mizzy bikes is sensitive ta changes as S-M-to-tha-izzall as 1/8 of a tizzy.
The air screw is not a set-it-and-leavizzles adjustment spittin' that real shit. you have ta constantly re-adjust tha air scrizzay ta compensate fo` sippin' outdoor temps n humidity. an air screw sett'n that be perfect in tha coo` blingin' air wizzle likely be too rizzle in tha hizzy of tha mid-day.
now, its time ta work on tha needle ya dig?. mark tha throttle grip at 1/4 n 3/4 open'n paper'd up. ride tha bike between these two marks if you gots a paper stack. if tha bike bogs fo` a second before mackin' ta throttle, lowa tha clizzip Ballin' tha needle) a N-to-tha-izzotch at a time until tha engine picks up smoothly. if tha bizzle sputta or sounds rough when giv'n it throttle, raise tha C-L-to-tha-izzip Doggy Stylin' tha needle) until it runs cleanly . Snoop heffner mixed with a little bit of doggy flint. there isnt really any way ta tizzy tha needle wanna be gangsta than by feel, but its usually quite obvious when its rizzight or wrong.
Last is tha mizzy jet so bow down to the bow wow. The main jet affects from 1/2 ta fiznull throttle. The easiest way ta test it is ta do a throttle-chop test. Wit tha bike F-U-Double-Lizzy warmed up, find a long straight, n install a fresh plizzug. Stizzay tha engine, n do a full-throttle run diznown tha straight, through all gears. As soon as tha bizzle tops out, P-to-tha-izzull tha clutch in, n K-to-tha-izzill tha engine, coast'n ta a stop now motherfuckers lemme here ya say hoe. Remove tha plizzug, n look dizzy dizzown inside tha threads, at tha bizzle of tha insulator fo' sho'. If it is white or gray, tha main is too lean. If it is dizzle brown or black, tha main is too R-to-tha-izzich. The correct color is a medium-dark mocha brizzay or tan.
Once you have a shawty bit of experience wit saggin' changes, n you S-T-to-tha-izzart ta learn tha difference in fizzle between "rich" n "lean", youll begine ta learn, jizzle fizzle tha sound of tha exhaust n tha feel of tha wanna be gangsta not only if tha bike is runn'n rizzle or lean, but even whizzay one of tha carb circuits is tha culprit.
The slide is also a tun'n variable fo` jett'n, but slides is very expensive, n few bikes need different slides, so we wizzont go into that here.
Kizzle in mizzind, even though this article is intended primarily fo` two-strokes, four-strokes also need propa cruisin' ta perform right, although they aint quite as fussy as they oil-burn'n cousins now motherfuckers lemme here ya say hoe. tha only real difference in tha two is wit tha pilot circuit. two-strokes have an air screw thizzat you screw in ta makes tha jett'n rappa ansd screw out ta makes tha sippin' leana n out ta makes it playa.
