Hey guys whats goin on
my yz's been acting up lately. we just got done re-jetting it, because it was running way rich, and bogging. we went 1 down on the main jet, and 1 down on the pilot. the bogging problem is gone, but the bike is still fouling. one ride, i fouled 3 plugs, and the float was stuck.
today, we put the new pilot in. the bike was running great for about 30 minutes, then fouled and wouldnt start.
we are thinkin about running a plug 1 hotter.
any suggestions?
oh btw we are running maxima super m, 32:1

Mxr, i doubt your bike is jetted spot on, so it would be hypocritical for you to tell him to jet his spot on.
Just for info(Steve told me this, and this is how I set up my bike):
Jetting a 125 you want:
-A little rich on the main(for WFO riding)
-Needle set PERFECT
-Pilot jet a little lean you get quicker responce
-Air screw set perfect.
(works well on 65's and 80's too)

Going 1 size richer on the main is always a good idea imo.
If the pilot is "a little lean" or 1 size smaller, wouldn't your air screw be less than 1 turn out....or all the way in, in some circumstances?

we leaned out the main, and it worked better than making it rich, we tried both.
what do you mean about the air screw bullwinkle?

but this year i plan to jet on race day,at every race, and if conditions change alot,i will rejet for my following motos.
last year i didnt do it,actually i dont think i rejetted it at all last year,it ran fine...but then again i barely rode lastyear because of my wrist

Bullwinkle, with most bikes, you can get half sizes down. I run my pilot a half size down, I need to get the proper needle still and my main is a tad rich. On a normal day, 10-15 Degress Celcius, my Air screw is bout 1 3/4 out.

If your float was off to begin with, your bike how you thought was jetted correctly will now be incorrect. I had to go from a 32.5 to a 22.5 on my cr250 now it really rips. I bought 2 inbetween but it cleans out so nice with the 22.5 I am running a bit rich on the main, but it pulls so damn hard on top its awesome. What heat range are you running plug wise? Your manual if you have one should tell you float spec so set it FIRST, then rejet
