i could be wrong

but in a 2 stroke, the higher the octane the better

in our 4 strokes, higher then the manul reccomends the hotter the engine will run, not better

(what makes vp 4 so much better isnt its octane, its the oxygen additives)

i think im right, but i wont say "im right" but im pretty sure i am

Thats what I have always been told and thats what the guys at Stovalls told me. However I just run 92 octane pump gas with Yamaha brand octane booster and fuel cleaner. It works really good but you have to run a cooler plug than normalto prevent spark knock . Exam: strait pump gas=b8es With octane boost b9es.

wait do you mean BR8ES? b8es has no resistor. I like to use Sta-bil when i mix alot of gas, this way i don't need to worry about it going bad as fast

i didnt kno changing spark plugs one heat range could stop detonation (you do meen spark knock aka detonation)

and i dont put anything freaky in my gas, i mix what i need for a few days (10-20 liters) and use it
ive never had gas go bad,

mix less lol

i only use it if i know i cant finish it in a given time. Like if i need it to last 10 days

I think the fact that 4 strokes have to design their engines to keep heat loss as little as possible. 2 strokes dont have this problyem like 4 strokes do but I dont know why higher octane would hurt a 4 stroke, or overheat it

that was pretty cool of the service guy to do. the shops here would of just asked if you wanted to order it. but then again we do have a few cool shops when it comes to buying new bikes or parts. the honda dealer offered a left over 03 cr250 in 04 for $750 off, free stand, grips, renthal bars and up to $100 off a new helmet. the yamaha dealer offered a yz125 for $500 off and few free things and no sales tax. i usually deal with the yamaha dealership because theyre closer and always get a decent percentage off on everything.

as far as fuel if its not pinging or knocking stick with what your using.
