Just curious, what did you do to use water weight? I always hear people talk about it, but I never knew.

to lose water weight we put on plastics, or a sauna suit, its pretty much like a trash bag. Then after that we have sweat shirts and sweats and try not to let heat out. then run, ride a stationery bike, and you sweat so much its crazy. then you drink a controlled amount of water that day and eat protein, veggies, and try to stay off carbs. Thats how my team did it, so we stayed healthy while losing weight. It is so miserable being that hot though, not fun at all.

If the only goal is to burn calories then walking 4 miles is actually better than jogging 2. A 175lb person, running at 8 mph (7.5 min/mile), will cover 2 miles in 15 minutes and expend roughly 268 calories. That same individual walking at 4 mph will cover 4 miles in one hour (duh!) and will expend 397 calories. Jogging is just more time efficient.

That's the thing I am so opposed to in wrestling. They can't drink a lot of water when they do that. They're trying to lose water weight, which is NOT good for you at all. You risk heat stroke, and kidney failure if you don't have enough water in your system. What these guys are told to do is dangerous, and I can't believe it's allowed it in schools.

There is no reason to lose water weight when you're trying to lose excess fat. As a matter of fact, not enough water will hinder your ability to lose fat.

I do not lose water weight to lose fat. Are bodies are made up of 66.67% water so we need it constantly. I am very opposed to this in wrestling but in the state of Florida there is a new rule that regulates "cutting weight." Body fat percentages are taken weekly and wrestlers are only allowed to go down a certain body fat percentage or they can't wrestle. This regulates people cutting water weight. However, it takes about 4 days to cut water weight for me in wrestling and I am not dehydrated at all and drink plenty of water, eat protein (lean steak and chicken, and eat vegtables to get carbs. It is a tuff diet but by the end of the week when a tournament comes, which we have every weekend, we weigh in at the low weight and within an hour or two hours are bodies are fully hydrated with liquids and we have eaten and weigh about 10 to 15 pounds more than opponents giving an advantage. However I am glad that the new rule is in effect to stop all these bad habits.

the only thing i can give to you is NO FRIGGEN SODA kid. it's loaded with sugar and is horrible for your bones.
Sugar = fat
Soda = Bad bones
Bad bones = no game

lift some weights.. .and you dont even have to run walking will do it... just like a mile a day for a month you'll be so surprised in the first 2 weeks in what it will do. it's really all about what you eat. Even if you think your working-out is doing a lot, it's not if you dont have a good diet. and dont just spread the exercise out do it on rutine. i do every other day. im not super strong but im in good shape health wise and im stronger than average.

Just my ^^ BIG things of advice... if you got ot hear and didnt get it read it again!

Im Andy, i rock

Jump ropes are great and help alot. Anything cardio and active that makes you sweat and makes you feel better. After a workout my mind is released of stress and all that stuff and you know when you have a good workout. Jump ropes are very helpful.

Working out and water is good.

Water cleans out your system good. The more water you drink the faster you'll loose weight.
