I think that would suck, you would be in like 3rd gear going like 15 MPH, and in 5th gear going like 30MPH.
I don't like riding in sand, especially deep sand! You would almost need paddle tires to ride good in that stuff!
How high can you actually get jumping sand jumps?

No our tracks are NOT sand tracks. Thats just next to my house. Our tracks are nice prepped dirt. Sandia (quad pic) has about half sand hald harpack and clay.
But all the others are nice dirt.
The worst are the desert races, you can't choose a good tire for them becuase there about 10miles of sand, and the other harf is usualy 15 miles of dirt. Then you do 3 or 4 laps depending on the race. There fun, poeple gears up there bikes to run in the 85mph range. But that is also a comprimise. I like to set my bike up for the sand section, this way you don't get as tired. The sh__ty thing is that they always run my class after the quads, so its so nasty...but all the more fun I guess.
