Which 250f to get

im not getting a 4 stroke b/c everyone else has one though. Im getting one b/c of me and no one else.

my friend has a 2001 yz250f for sale. its a real nice bike. fast and powerful.

all of them are nice but the honda. the honda is super weak and has the most engine problems. i just rode a 05 kx250f and the magizines are wrong, that bike is the best. it is definitley better than my friends 05 yz250f. i personally like my 2003 yz250f better because it is set up for me. definitley don't get a crf. and when u get it a 250f take care of it

Super weak eh? Not sure where you got this but probably from all your other "sources".

Also, they all have problems. The KXF/RMZ's had problems with valves, cooling, CDI, tranny's (most corrected for 05'), the CRF had problems as well with poor piston design, and thin piston skirts.

The YZF had its first year (yes even 2nd year) problems as well.

So I'm interested, what are your reasons for not getting a CRF?

I like the sound of the 4-strokes, except that poping sound, but I absolutly HATE the smell of them! I know when I was at the track last Saturday, and when I got blasted in the face with roost from a CRF450, I hated the roost, but I couldn't stand the smell! The roost hurt, obviously, and it didn't taste very good, but the smell was worse!

I think the CRF250 would be more fun to ride, but the YZ250F would be faster, IMO. I haven't ridden EITHER of them, but I know I wouldn't want to deal with the problems of the CRF250, with it burning oil and not holding as much as the other 250f's.
