Thats how they sounded when they idled.

I had never ridden one before and an old boss took a bunch of us riding at Tower City PA the day after Thanksgiving. At the time I didnt have a bike so he let me ride one of his spairs.....a 490. It wasnt that bad. It was kind of like riding a really fast 250. Let it sing!

i was going to get an old cr490 but once i took it for a test ride i relized being the small guy that i am (5'7" and 130lbs) that i would kill myself and decited against it. Mad kudo's to that guy for doing such an amazing job of restoring it and even riding it!

im currently working on restoring my old 74 honda mr50

How fast are the 500s like compared to today's 450s...?

^ i havent riddin a 450 but if they are running with 2 stroke 250's then the 500 2 stroke would leave it in the dust
