From what I can see, it can definately be welded. If you can tear it down, I'll be glad to weld it for you. I work for Harley, we have our own in house machine shop. Prob. cost you about $15 or so to ship it down to me. If you can take a pic of the cases, I'll prob. be able to tell you for sure.
