Can you get vice grips on that baby and get a few turns. It may take a while but you could try that. Spray WD40 let it sit for a while and keep sprayin off and on. From what it looks like you will now need an easy out. You can get them at a local hardware store.

unfortunately its frozen solid with still about an inch to come out. I don't know if it just one spot on the bolt of if the full length of the bolt is bad. But it is very tight and will not budge with vice grips and wd-40. I'm leaning on pulling the swingarm and taking to a machine shop. Do I need shock spring compressor? Any tips for pulling swingarm or other suggestions before I go that far?

Ouch!

First off, there is NO way it will budge?

Second, to pull the swingarm, no you do not need a spring puller.

Lastly, I highly doubt a machine shop will be able to do anything. It's such a cramped space a lathe nor milling machine would be able to get in there.

Prior to the bolt breaking I was using a heat gun and putting a lot of torque on the bolt with the wrench and didn't make any progress. I don't think vice grips could do any better but I guess its worth a try. If vice grips won't take it out what my next best course of action??

hmm... if you can cut off the rest of the bolt thats there, so that its flush with the swing arm, and try and drill it out, then if you drill it out, re-tap the hole.

1st of all do not do what Adam said , "heat the area around where the bolt goes in (propare torch) careful, its aluminun,

heat it, wd40 it, try and get it out, etc etc, "
WD40 will catch on fire . Use Blast , sorta like Liquid Wrench , tap the area where the blot goes into the swingarm , . get 2 nuts that will fit the threads , thread them on just enough that they both will thread onto the end of the extruding part of the bolt . Tighten the two nuts against each other . Then , put your wrench on the inner nut and unscrew the bolt .

Hey Masterwrench, I'm going with your plan execpt i'm going to have to TIG weld a nut onto the bolt. There not enough there to put 2 nuts on. I'll let ya'll know tommorrow how it goes.

Ok, Got this project wrapped up. TIG welded a nut onto the stud and then heated the swingarm with propane torch and slowly worked the bolt out. Then ran a tap thru and good to go again. If anyone has this problem in the future, HEAT is the answer. Thanks for the input from everyone!!
