Great points by everyone, as Pastrana said in a interview "that he puts in 60 laps and he is beat, but RC puts in 100, that is crazy!" RC, Reed and Langston have such a regimen that it will be tough to keep the pace for 30 minutes. I went to the prequel and Reed and Langston barely broke a sweat and were so fast. These guys are so professional in their training. Bubba level of training is not at the top. Reed went down at High Point in the second moto and was way behind and just kept working, never gave up. I believe these riders can take losing, but will never give up. Langston showed so much heart racing and winning.
Let's give respect to Dowd and Henry, unbelievable race. Bubba look to the older guys( Dowd 40 years old) look and learn. I know Mike Alessi came on a little strong and talked trash like Bubba, but he learned and has backed up his talent. Pushing that bike up the hill at Hangtown showed heart, did not quit. Alessi popped his shoulder out in moto two and tried to ride for a couple of laps but could not hang on. He will be back next week sore and hurt, but will compete.

True champions such as RC, Reed, Everts, Baily, R. Johnson, De Coster, Langston and many more, don’t come along every day and what sets them apart from the rest is a rare constellation of many factors. Sorry JC does not seem to have them yet and may become another story of a young fast rider which eventually read “What has happened to him, where is he now” if he doesn’t realize what a great champion needs to do to earn the right to be included.

I'm a newbie here as a member, but I've been watching this board for a long time.Enuf bout me,did anybody read RCs' interview for RacerX???He flat out called Bubba a quitter & said if he was gonna be beat by somebody,he's glad it was someone like Reed!!Somebody that worked hard for what they want..I'm not giving exact wording here, but check it out for yourself. This comes from the top of the heap!!When RC entered the 250,he had a rough time, but he never bailed or gave up.He just kept plugging away.I wasn't a big fan of RCs till a couple of years ago,I've seen him mature 10 fold & I applaud him in every way,as a rider & a man.I have always been a big Chad Reed fan & I hope he continues to do well.As far as bubba goes,I think he has showed who he really is,all you making excuses for him about it bein hard on him & blahblahblah, how rediculous can you get???Sorry,he reminds me of a spoiled rotten brat who pouts when he doesn't get what he wants!!!!Is ESPN & HBO covering his losses & his QUITTER attitude the way they were hypin him,NOPE!!!!!!!!!I don't care what he does from here on,he could be the greatest ever & it won't convince me of anything,a champion is a champion in loss as well as victory.I kinda hope we see him someday on VH1,where are they now???
Sorry,just my feelings.

Bubba without a dought was definetily faster indoors then rc and cr and he was out of practice for a while when he was injured
i dont think this is a fair statement to make. by the time stewart came back RC already had the title locked if he stayed consistant. Ricky isnt dumb. why would he risk a wreck battling up front w/ js or reed when all he had to do was podium the last few races and collect another championship?? he was playing it safe tha whole 2nd half of the sx season so u cant judge his speed.
also, u guys should check out racer x's latest interview w/ RC. he actually comments on stewart being a quitter.

Bubba will be the champ SOMEDAY, but not too soon. Bubba has his ride with Kawi why even bring that up! He's got issues to deal with, be a famous racer and hang out with rappers or commit and give moto everything to try to beat RC. IT'S RC'S SEASON!

A few of you mentioned that you think the heat is bothering Bubba. Well, don't forget that he is from FL. In my opinion, heat should never really be a problem for him.....if he is conditioning in it.

AH665- Well i think wat i said was a very fair statement. Rc has said it a lot of times....he loves to have competition on the track. If u think bout it, Rc is the champion..right?? Every one wanted to see him and bubba race together....right?? He wanted to race bubba...right?? So what makes u think he being the "true champion" is gonna let bubba humilate him AND the rest of the field on a supercross race if he had wat it took? No. a true champion races a race and doesn't pull back, i kno stewart has pulled out now in mx but Rc wouldn't do it.

DominikinMotocrossRacer, I really think he is right. I here what you are saying and I mean no disrespect to Bubba but the risk was to great.
The 19 year old RC might have been a different story. But the 26 yr old RC is smarter now. He had the championship wrapped up if he just finished well. To battle Bubba was too risky because a crash meant Reed would take over in points not to mention injury could have a serious effect on the soon to begin outdoor series. Also Bubba was a little dangerous, (look how often he would wreck)I think they both were avoiding him, not so much letting him get ahead but if he was out front they didn't have to worry about him.
I think Bubba did have the most raw speed indoors. But that was not the point of the series to them anymore.
It's hard to think in terms of not wanting to win every race, but sometimes it is the smartest.

The indoors was between RC & CR,bottom line.I would have stayed away from bubba also, all he did was hurt himself & anybody else that got in his way.RC didn't need any part of that. The championship is far bigger then any 1 win.

THAT'S B*LL SH*T . U guys all kno that chad reed was gettin real tight on that supercross series and got away on some of the last races and was putting a lot of pressure on RC and run full speed, he wouldn't slow down. Not disrespecting RC but, chad was getting a lil quicker then him at the end but. bubba? he was way quicker. I could've asured u ppl that bubba would've won the supercross series if he didn't get injured at the beginning and stayed on two wheels. Once bubba got off the start he created a big gap between him and the others racers, he was way faster and period!!!

Would you please get real!!!!Get a clue, you can be the fastest in the world if you can't stay on the wheels, you get no championship!!!PERIOD!!!!Why was bubba hurt???Couldn't stay on his wheels, simple!!!!It does no good to be the fastest if you can't finish the race.Get over yourself.RC knew CR was far enough behind in points that all he had to do was finish in the top 3 for the few remaining races, its simple math. You want to quote RC then finish the sentance,I want to win,but the title is what's important. He said that in every interview. You hear what you want,RC was & is the better man & this is coming from the biggest CR fan.Bubba is NOT the best.He DOESN'T have the championship. No should've,could've,would've about it!!!!There's your bottom line & you can take that to the bank!

Wat are u talkin about???RC was getting his ass kicked way before JS came in, and when js did come in he didn't win another race!! The last time he won a race was in atlanta,ga, that was 9 races lost after that. And if u watched the vegas event u would've noticed he said that he had no risk to take, he had no excuses and was gonna give it ALL he had....and wat happened?? Chad reed whopped his butt despite that JS didn't race cuz he got injured at the beginnin of the race. In supercross he was definitly not the best at the end of the season; he got away at the beginning because chad reed wasn't competition to him at the beginnin....but at the end, chad reed was whipping him.!!! In motocross right now RC is the man no dougth but the season IS NOT OVER!! a lot of things could happen.
