Yah defnitely, I voted for the girl...If the story happened as Sven told it, then I don't understand how anyone in their right mind could punish the guy. Of course its his word against hers, and thats where the problem is, but hopefully when they look at the backgrounds of the 2 people they will see the guy is more responsible or at least he just sounds like a better person (less stupid mistakes then the girl)...

Maybe they can't read, or they were too lazy to read and just assumed it was the guys fault because it was a "rape"????

Unfortunately, that is the general assuption every time.
Three teen-aged boys were convicted of gang-rape in Newport Beach this week. (they will serve between 12 and 18 years in prison)
The girl who brought the charges has a long history of partying, and promiscuity, but that didn't seem to matter to the jury.

Yeah, exactly. No, that's the exact story (not word for word) as the local newspaper said (of course with my comments and knowledge about the people themselves as well). So far no word, scheduled hearing sometime in April.

The really sad thing about this is that he will now be a registered sex offender for the rest of his life. There are online databases that show where they live (in some communities). Imagine the harrasment he will be getting. Once you are a registered sex offender, your life is pretty much ruined. I'm sure the majority of those registered deserve much worse, but those who are innocent might as well have a life sentence in prison.
I'm interested in the opinions of the 3 who voted that it was the guys fault.

I think the girl should be slapped and told to grow up. It's not a game accusing people of rape, she could have ruined his life.

to all those who have mentioned "their past history" in your stories, have to remember that majority of it cannot be brought up in court matters. unfortunately that is how life is... I have not voted....
