I personally dont want to see Motocross get any more media coverage or popularity.

I Skateboarded through most of my youth and latter teens, when I started Skating (1988 or so) we could skate anywere (downtown) at any time and no one would say anything.

By 1996 Skating became so popular that people got sick of seeing skaters running though their parking lots or downtowns and started to work against skaters.

Now Skating is banned in most every downtown in America and even some Citys banned it throughout the whole city. Skaters are stuck only skating in skateparks where they have to pay to ride wooden made stuff (behold the comeback of the half pipe!)

WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH MOTOCROSS!

More riders equal more things that can go wrong. More noise levels, more people wanting bikes, more local tracks being closed from noise, higher prices for bikes and gear (demand and supply), more bikes getting stolen, more local backwoods riding areas being closed down (gotta enjoy the roots of dirtbiking), more more more, is not better.

TV coverage is good enough right now. Cover every race on ESPN or OLN and thats all I want and ask. Anymore is just looking for trouble.

Keep our sport simple and we (the real lovers of the sport) will have more fun with less problems.
look at what happened to skateboarding.

Citys BUILD MORE SKATEPARKS for the kids to go. Have you ever seen a city build a motocross park??

NO

More riders= city's will need to provide safe places to ride, and will WELCOME TRACKS!

motocross parks are much safer than any skatepark. Citys build skateparks and look what happens to them, they turn into these drug hangouts and more crime happens. They are more of a "drugpark" than a skatepark. Little kids don't even get a chance in hell at riding parks unless they turn into little "badasses" to keep up with the other "badasses".

The bigger motocross gets, the harder it will be for the politicians to get rid of. Skateing is much worse than motocross. You don't see the politicians trying to get rid of skateboarding like you see them trying to get rid of motoX.

ANYWAYS

as for bubba, sure he's black and that "neat" I guess. I personaly think race should not matter at all in motox. RC is a better, faster, smarter, rider than bubs. RC should get more credit. Bubbas dad is trying to cash in on him IMO. He likes to make it a bigger deal than I think it is. He's like "my son is black, so its so much harder for him to thrive", I say bullsh*t, he is just like any other person. People want to be equal, I think they should be equal. What they are doing is almost like the academy giving some twit thats only been in a few hit movies the lifetime award, and not giving it to the guy that was in 20 hit movies thats 70 years old.

They only do it because te "young guy" is more known with the young crowd.

you ever see a white guy get an award for being in the NBA even tho there are better players? nope, because it not that big of a deal to people, but you get one black guy in a mostly white sport and people think its the best thing in the whole wide world.

RC is better, if bubba was a better, didn't quit, was smarter, and had done more than RC, I would have no problem with him getting a movie and all the attention. but he hasn't yet. I have never seen a feature movie with Hannah....I would rather see one with him than bubba. hannah was amazing but people don't care.

Bubba was good in the 125 class, but other guys have been just as good in other years BUT they were not black so knowone cared.

I have no problem with bubba all, and i'm not racist, but people giving one guy 100% credit because a rider is black is racist, or "politically correct".

Tiger Woods won and was a muti-champ in golf against the best in the world. Bubba was only the best in the 125 class, he's not nearly the best in the 250 class yet. Tiger deserves it, bubba doesn't yet.

But at least it will spread the sport even more if they make a movie
