Just don't eat the apple core, or the pit inside the peach and you should be okay, lol! I like to eat oatmeal with banana slices mixed in. I can go most of the day on that & I don't feel too full afterwards (depending on how much you eat, naturally). I got that tip from one of Ryan Hughes' interviews on fitness.

mmm that sounds good Bullwinkle. Fruits are simple sugars, things like pasta are more complex thus take longer to break down. The book on sports nutrition I have says it's best to eat a variety of carbo foods and not just a bowl of pasta.

I am a very picky eater, and before I decided to train for MX I was selective on my foods and the foods i ate were bad for me. However I have been trying alot of new good foods and and here is ruffly what my meals are like per day. Its a mix of good meals.
Breakfast
Oatmeal or Rasin Bran and one Apple
Brunch
Penuts or Sunflower seeds, and some times a small sand wich
Lunch
2 penut butter sandwiches on whole wheat bread, and an bananna
Pre dinner
Beef jerky, or Gram Crackers(box says its whole wheat and good source of calcium)
Dinner
Some kind of meat meal, and a Orange

For my liquids I am usually drinking water, but I do like fruit juice and orange juice, stuff like that.
O and like I said I am in the process of trying new healthy food (new to me) and this week I tried lettuce and next week its tomatos. Once I try it I continue to work it in my meals so that eventually I tolerate it. lol.

O and im welcome to any suggestions on foods that i sould be trying, espically fruit let me know whats good.

Make your own fruit shakes in the morning for breakfast. Put slices of whatever fruit you like into a blender, and some yougurt or milk (optional), and blend it until it's smooth. Drink that & have some wheat toast with Smart Balance imitation butter, or jelly or something & you're good to go.

You could also buy one of those Jack LaLane juicers; those are supposed to work good. Home made juice is always better than anything you can buy in the store. Those are loaded with sugar, so drink sparingly. Personally, I drink water all day, i'll have a juice or soda with lunch, a Snapple or Kerns Nectar and a snack when I get home to hold me over until dinner, and i've always drank a glass of milk with dinner.

I also like fruit salad. It's just slices of apples, oranges, peaches, grapes, watermelon, strawberries, cantelope, banana....whatever you like. Mix it all together & eat it. I eat that a lot in the summer because the fruit is better.

For vegetables, buy the fresh ones. I like them boiled & just put 1 chicken bullion cube in the water. They still taste like vegetables, but way more flavorful. Bullion is salty stuff, so if you have the powder form, don't use too much of it.

i used to not be able to eat anything or id throw it up and have a stomach ache the whole day.. then id lose endurance fast.. but i know this may sound dumb but i know a couple pros who do this.. they drink the stuff babies drink.. pedialyte, it has all the vitamins.. its a full course actually u could live off of it, they swear by it.

Household beverages do not meet medical guidelines for helping prevent dehydration due to diarrhea in kids. Generally they are too high in carbohydrate (sugar) and too low in sodium. The most important treatment for mild diarrhea is to immediately offer an electrolyte solution at the first signs of diarrhea, which will maintain electrolyte balance and normal hydration.

Why avoid sugar? Household beverages containing too much sugar may make diarrhea worse.

Sodium is an electrolyte, which aids in the absorption of liquid into the body and helps to retain the liquid absorbed.
