Two-Smoker - I was just up there this past weekend, I fell on a trail & 3 of my fingers on my right hand got crushed under my handlebars, then drug for about 5 feet, it all happened so fast, I couldn't save it in time... oh well it's part of the sport & it's worth it! I'm just glad I still have my fingers attached to my body! By the time they heal up, it will be red sticker season & my bike has a red sticker which really stinks, cause I was just getting my new tricks down good! Oh well I will ride with you eventually. Do you know if Metcalf enforces the red sticker law or not?

Nice site. I love the "Helmet-with-ponytail" graphic.
By the time they heal up, it will be red sticker season & my bike has a red sticker which really stinks,

On the red sticker-green sticker subject, I don't think even the rangers know the dif.

As long as you are running a forestry approved spark arrestor, they don't normally push the subject.

Lucky me. The DMV has issued me greens on my last two RM 250s, a '98, and an'02. Go figure!

Motogeezer: Thanks for checking out the site! The rangers do know what's going on now...Last year they started enforcing the red sticker law because most of the parks in California didn't enforce red sticker law & got caught by C.A.R.B. (California Air Resource Board) and fined heavily! So now any bikes with a C in the 8 digit of the V.I.N. number and/or a 3 or higher in the 10 digit of the V.I.N. gets grandfathered in for a red sticker! I think it's so stupid! I tried last summer to get into Carnige, Hollister Hills, Pizmo Beach, & Hang Town and they wouldn't let me in cause of the red sticker! YOU ARE LUCKY you a green sticker bikes, never sell them! LOL Talk to you soon!

As far as I know, the only bikes that qualify for green are dual-purpose four strokes. Why the DMV keeps sending me green stickers is a mystery, but I'm not gonna ask!

I go to a place in the Sierras where I've only seen a ranger once. He just smiled and waved, and kept on driving.

You are lucky, I wouldn't ask DMV neither if I was you! LOL
Have you ever heard of Green Horn near Grass Valley/Nevada City area? That place is awesome too...No rangers...No fees to ride there. It's fun there, finding natural jumps! It's just not as fun as hitting those table tops at Hollister though!

I'm in SoCal, so I don't get up that way much.

The place I go in the Sierras is free too, but the only facilities available are a couple 1960's era fiberglass out houses on a rusty trailer. You need to bring your own everything. That's probably why we have it to ourselves most of the time!

I always run a spark arrestor in the forest, but I expect that some day I'll meet a ranger who knows the difference between a bike that should have a green sticker, and one that shouldn't. I just hope that he,or she falls for the "dumb guy" act.

LOL, YA SAME AS GREEN HORN, NOT EVEN AN OLD 1960'S OUT HOUSE, WE GET ROCKS, TREES, & BUSHES THAT'S IT! OH WELL, AS LONG AS THERE'S A PLACE TO GO, WHO CARES...WHEN YOU GOT TO GO, YOU GOT TO GO! IT SEEMS THE MORE HEAVILY POPULATED PARKS ARE ENFORCING THE RED STICKER LAW MORE THEN THE OTHER PARKS THAT NO BODY BARELY GOES TO! I JUST CAN'T WAIT TO BUY MY OWN PROPERTY AND BUILD MY OWN JUMPS, THEN THEY CAN'T TAKE THE RIGHT TO RIDE MY DIRTBIKE FROM ME! THE RED STICKER LAW WALKS ALL OVER OUR RIGHTS AS AMERICANS, AND IT NEEDS TO STOP! I CAN UNDERSTAND RESTICTING THEM FOR THE FIRST FEW YEARS WHILE THEY ARE STILL NEW, BUT TO GRANDFATHER THEM IN AS RED STICKER FOREVER IS WRONG!
