Dungey whips-em again

Just past the halfway point and the only real excitement is in the 250 class, or should we say the Blake Baggett show. This kid is on fire and continues to put in some of the most amazing come-from-behind victories we have even seen. His style is remarkable and his speed is out of this world. In the first moto at Millville, Baggett logged in a faster time than Dungey in the 450 class. Dungey’s best time was a 2:08.357, while Baggett logged in a 2:07.562. BB’s average time was also faster than Dungey, meaning his 250 race was technically shorter than the 450 race. Dungey did best his time in moto two with a fastest lap of 2:07.306.
With riders such as Ryan Villopoto, Chad Reed and James Stewart not able to challenge Ryan Dungey, the class is kind of boring. What’s in the news is the two over 40 riders John Dowd and Mike Brown both scored points in the 450 class. In the first moto Brown finished 12 while Dowd placed 13th. Now that is amazing. Some of us over 40 rider wish they had half of the talent of one of these racers. Mike Alessi has stepped it up with 3-2 moto finishes for second overall on his privateer Moto Concepts (Suzuki) MCR450. Back at home his brother Jeff Alessi is back on his bike and has been seen practicing in So Cal.
In the second 250 moto Baggett worked his way into the lead early on and logged in the fastest lap of the race. His crazy speed got the best of the Monster Energy PC rider and he went down while leading. With a bent up bike he remounted and worked his way back to 4th. Eli Tomac took the win and the overall his Geico Honda teammate Justin Barcia finished second and nabbed second overall. KTM’s Ken Roczen finished 3rd in moto 2 and took 4th overall for the day.
The series heads West to Washougal for round 7 of the championship

Even if it looked like Bagett had Eli Tomac covered most of the day - when it was over, Tomac left the day with the overall victory at Millville.
