Over the years, X Games has tried to bring in more and more Moto events. Some have stuck, and some haven’t. The list includes Freestyle Moto X (the original), Step Up, Best Trick, Best Whip, Moto X Racing (supercross, basically), Women’s Moto X Racing, Super Moto X, Speed & Style, and now Enduro X and Women’s Enduro X. The world’s top 12 freestyle motocross athletes converted Rome’s Stadio Olimpico into a modern Circus Maximus for the third stop of the 2011 Red Bull X Fighters season. In front of 45,000 spectators Nate Adams nailed the tricks to earn him his second win of the season. Norway’s Andre Villa took second place while whiz kid Josh Sheehan of Australia came out of nowhere to take third place in the third stop of the 2011 Red Bull X-Fighters Tour.
