Freestyle Whips And Flips at Pala Raceway

Jarryd McNeil, Dallon Goldman, Bryce Hudson and Anthony Murray throw everything upside down.

Dirt riders out there have a little bit of “free-style” in them and it’s not something you can deny. Go ahead, try and hide it! It doesn’t matter what level or how intense our freestyle is, but deep down, we’ve all tried it a time or two. Even if it’s sitting on a bike tied down in the back of a pick up—those fixed heel-clickers and nac-nacs mean something. Trail riders, you’re in this too! Stoppies on the trail, pivoting wheelie’s to change direction and crawling over a tree stump are all viable forms of indirect freestyle. It’s a very effective way of releasing stress, letting down your seriousness and, of course, a good excuse for a good old harmless session of goon riding.

We cruised over to Pala’s small freestyle compound and found Jarryd McNeil, 2012 X-Games 18 Best Whip Silver Medalist throwing some ridiculous whips along with Dallon Goldman from South Africa, Bryce Hudson and Anthony Murray. Check out what these FMX boys are capable of!
