Carey Hart Makes An Announcement

Hart And Huntington Partners With JCPenney

We met up with Hart And Huntington’s Carey Hart at the final round of the Dew Tour in Las Vegas for a quick interview. Turns out he had quite the announcement to make.

Carey Hart announces the partnership of Hart And Huntington and JCPenney. The group will be working on a Hart And Huntington clothing line that will be releasing on January 1st.

Dirt Rider: Was there a special reason for saving the announcement of the Hart And Huntington partnership with JCPenney for the last round of the Dew Tour?

Carey Hart: Well no, there was actually a lot of work that went into this whole thing. We didn’t just bump into each other at the bar and say, “Let’s do this,” you know. We had a lot of planning as far as working on the clothing line and getting all of the fundamentals done. We definitely wanted to release the line in a timely manner with it hitting stores on January 1st. We also wanted the release to have a solid platform and what better place than in Las Vegas at the Dew Tour?

DR: Where do the roots of this project come from?

CH: The Hart And Huntington brand started in a little 500 square foot tattoo shop. Kind of just a next door type shop.

DR: Having JCPenney as a main sponsor, how do you see this helping your team in supercross and outdoors?

CH: I think with JCPenney, it’s having that platform for the brand. And what helps Hart And Huntington grow is going to help the race team grow. For next year we have grown our team to four riders and two semis. We are going to be a monster next year.

DR: What is the most exciting thing about the partnership?

CH: I think the big picture is just the fact that we are the first moto brand that has been able to crossover to align with JCPenney. They have so many great skate and bmx brands, so for us to be the first mx brand that has broken through—I couldn’t be more excited.

I’m offended. JCPenney (notice the “e”) is how you spell it. I work there. Haha.
