Millville, N.J. (April 7, 2009) - New Jersey Motorsports Park is offering Cumberland County residents tickets to the Saturday, May 30 Cumberland County Community Festival for just $10. The Community Festival is part of the weekend long New Jersey Vintage Grand Prix May 29-31.
The Cumberland County Festival combines the charm of a county festival with the on-track excitement of the Vintage Sports Car Club of America (VSCCA) and features the Limpert Brothers "Original Marshmallow Fluff." Limpert Brothers has been a staple in Cumberland County since 1926, and proceeds from the event will feature three local charitable organizations - the Millville Army Airfield Museum, the Wounded Warriors Foundation and the Green Flag Foundation.
Cumberland County residents, with a valid drivers' license, can purchase tickets at the gate for the discounted rate. As always at New Jersey Motorsports Park, children 12 and under are admitted free. On-site parking is included in the ticket price for Cumberland County residents.
Among the community events planned are an ice cream popularity contest, featuring new flavors made with Limpert Brothers Marshmallow Fluff; a dessert challenge featuring local restaurateurs and at-home chefs vying to create new recipes featuring five of Limpert Brothers' most versatile ingredients; and an Iron Chef challenge pitting two top-flight local chefs competing in a 60 minute cook off using a pre-selected list of ingredients.
Local bands, face painting, inflatable slides and other activities will entertain fans of all ages throughout the day.
Tickets are available for purchase at www.njmp.com. Children 12 and under are admitted free to every event at New Jersey Motorsports Park, including the Verizon Wireless 250 presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16.
