If you've ever spent a long day at the track in the heat (and we know you have), chugging around on dirt bikes and getting all sweaty you know that there's nothing better than pealing your boots off at the end of the day. Those sweaty, hot lumps you call feet need some air, and stuffed into those 5 year old ski socks you ride in, isn't helping. Maybe it's time to invest in a few sets of good socks, and give those tootsies a break.

Tech Sox MotoXTreme boot socks are designed specifically for the demands of modern motocross and off-road riding. In your hands these thick socks feel as if they'd be bulky and hot, until you slip them on. The dense cross sections of fabric stretch out to create a venting system that stretches across your foot and allows you to get the air you need to keep cool.

Slightly denser fabric cushions your shins against the front of the boot. In addition to the shin support, there is an additional band of fabric below your arch where your boots rest on the pegs.

For those who wear knee braces, MotoXTreme also makes a sock extension for this specific line that creates enough coverage to slide your favorite set of braces over. The “Sox Xtension” as they call it is made of the same synthetic fabric as the socks themselves. An articulated knee pocket that slides over your knee cap keeps the extensions in place, while the mesh upper section keeps you cool.

Priced at $21.95 (plus $9.95 for the brace extension) these socks aren't cheap, but ensuring maximum comfort while riding is worth the investment. You can also sleep easy knowing that these socks wear out very slowly, two sets should serve all your riding needs for years to come.

I like to wear socks too. They make me feet feel all cushy in my boots. When they get old you can tie them in a knot and use them for a play toy with your best dog friend.

I have some and they are the best. They were a sponsor at the Indiana Fire & Police MX event and were giving out sox as prizes. I got a pair for free and have bought 2 pair since then. They really are worth the money.

Did you have any trouble with the knee brace extensions sliding down your leg?

Nope, they actually stayed in place quite nicely.
