2009 Suzuki Motocrossers

Yes it’s already that time of year again when the new bikes begin to come out. We’ve already showed you a first look at the 2009 Yamaha’s, and now here are the new Suzuki mxers.

The biggest news from Suzuki for 2009 is probably that they are no longer producing two-strokes as the 250 and 125 have both been discontinued. CRider94, before posting a comment check your facts. The 07 RMZ 450 CURB weight is 238, the 08 RMZ 450 EFI is 242 and the 09 is 247 CURB weight. you might want to think twice about calling someone an idiot. I was simply asking a question, what is the deal with new 4 strokes as they are getting heavier and heavier. With current technology it should be the other way around.

dscott, that makes no sense, and when something doesnt make sense, it's usually not true. they would NEVER go from 242 to 247... i could see if it was 07-08 (carb, to efi) but efi to efi it makes no sense,

Facts directly from Suzuki.

I like Suzuki's because Roger Decoster is The Man! and he rides Suzuki's. He stomped the competition on his RA370 so just think what he will do on this new bike! Ya - Roger and Marty Smith. I wanna be like those guys.

Maybe they are just being more honest about their weight. Most mags weigh the bikes in much heavier than they claim.

Ok so I want to clear things up because all of you goof balls are saying some stupid information. Let me explain curb weight that means the is ready to go fuel and everything. A lot of manufacturers are changing to listing this weight because it is more realistic. 242 was the weight that they listed last year WITHOUT FUEL! The bike got no heavier. The bike gained some weight from 07 to 08 because of the extra weight required for the beefed up parts to power the fuel injection system and the 5 speed transmission instead of 4. And chase199c you are an idiot read up and get your facts straight before you post things. The 450 did not have a crank snapping problem. They were cracking CASES! There were some factors with the timing that was causing the bike to kick back sometimes when starting. This could crack the cases. So suzuki made timing changes and reinforced the cases. All of the 08's got these changes as well. All previously sold 08's got new cases installed and the ones still at dealers got all new motors.

the 09 graphics on the suzukis look like little toys, i really dissagree with the graphics on the number plate, the 09 is an embarrasment to suzuki this year, i think they should work hard for the 010

I agree with dscott25, high tech means better, and in motocross better means lighter, power is not the issue with these new 4 strokes, there's plenty of that! MAKE EM LIGHTER PEOPLE!!!
