How long have you been riding and when did you first start competing?
I have been riding for 11 years and started competing shortly thereafter at local races

What was your first bike and what do you ride now?
My first bike was a 1986 KX 80 that my Dad bought. It had 2 flat tires and cost $500. I now ride a Kawasaki 250F

Tell us about your bike setup and some mods?
Last year I ran Pro Circuit everything, Motors, Susp, Pipes. I’m still trying to figure out my sponsors this coming year. I had a really fast bike this year and am looking forward to the 09’s

What was the biggest event you attended last year and how did you do?
Loretta Lynn’s and I finished 6th

Biggest accomplishment ever?
Winning my first ever pro race in 2005 at the GNC National

What are your plans for this season?
I plan on racing Whitney, Oak Hill, WMA Cup, WMA Series, Loretta Lynns and X Games

Hometown track? Glen Helen Favorite racetrack?
Cycle Ranch in Floresville, Texas

Who are some of your sponsors now and how have they helped?
Kawasaki and MSR. Kawasaki gives me the best bikes around and much needed on and off the track support. MSR provides me with cool gear and great support!!!

What is the biggest challenge right now for you as a rider?
Getting my competitive edge back after a life threatening crash earlier in the year.

What do you do to prepare for racing?
Training etc. I swim laps to stay in shape as well as regular workouts. I tried road biking but kept crashing.

What’s your favorite part of racing?
My favorite part of racing is getting a good start and finishing on the podium!! Least favorite? Crashing and getting hurt

Who has helped you the most in your career?
My family and my boyfriend Charles

Favorite way to relax?
I love to swim, hang out with my boyfriend and the MSR guys

What are your other hobbies?
I like to bowl

What professional rider do you admire most?
Josh Grant. I love his riding style...he is aggressive and always puts on a good show.

What type of tracks do you compete best?
FLAT AND SMOOTH

A Talent You wish you had?
I wish I could sing and dance

Other sports you are good at?
I played soccer from the time I was 4 years old until my junior year in high school

Place you would like to travel to?
Hawaii...and learn to surf.

Best advice you could give to a younger up-and-coming rider?
Ride for yourself and make sure you have fun. When you stop enjoying it don’t do it.

Most influential personal in your life?
My Mom

Any pre-race superstitions or rituals?
I try not to talk to many of the girl riders because some are really weird and I need time to focus

Any bizarre or weird race / riding habits?
Well I do a lot of weird things before the race like: Go to the bathroom, put my Chad reed Scott goggles on, pray and check my gas and choke

What has been the most challenging experience in your career?
Trying hard to recover from my serious crash. I could not eat or drink anything for 6 weeks. I thought I would never ride again.

Bike setup / product secrets?
I try really hard to have to coolest bike on the line for sure…

Most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you?
Well one time at Lorretas I really had to pee while I was on the parade lap and since I’m a girl you cant just pull over and go so I went. Don’t worry I took a shower right after.

What type of music do you listen to?
Country

Most memorable moment in your life?
Picking up my adopted brother from Korea

Someone who really ticked you off and what they did?
Oh wow I can’t say who. But I can tell you that IT walks around the track and thinks it’s the best ever… hahaha

Your best / fastest section on a track?
My best part of the track are the Jumps and my fastest is coming out of the turns.

Injuries or Crashes?
Crashed during practice at the Whitney opener. Was airlifted out to the trauma center where I had a lacerated pancreas, ruptured spleen, bruised kidney. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks. Could not eat or drink for 6 weeks and thought I would never ride again. I also broke my elbow, 3 major bones in my face in other crashes...
