For years now, Fox Racing has been arguably one of the leaders in motocross apparel. They have the two fastest riders in the world—Ricky Carmichael and James Stewart—wearing their products, years of experience in developing top-of-the-line safety gear, and when most people think of MX, Fox is one of the first companies to come to mind. Needless to say, it’s pretty easy to see that Fox is one heavy hitter when it comes to MX.

We recently took delivery of a set of Fox’s best-selling 360 gear, and to say that we were impressed with the fit, comfort, and style of it would be an understatement, but before we get into our overall impression, lets talk about some of the key features found on this high-quality gear.

The pants are made from a combination of nylon and polyester fabrics with numerous innovations to help improve comfort and safety. Up on the waist there is a quad stretch rear yoke, while the knees feature an active stretch panel, both of which are designed to stretch with the rider and allow for more range of motion without sacrificing protection. The stretch side panels also help to form around the rider, giving the pants a better more comfortable fit. As for venting, the leg logos and rear yoke are vented for increased airflow during hot days. Finally, the lower leg of the pants are cuff-less, to help avoid the uncomfortable bunching that often occurs with large leg cuffs.

Moving on to the jersey, it’s made from 100 percent polyester and is cut and sewn together into a comfortable attack position that most riders are in while riding. It also has articulated elbow pads, snag resistant miro-cuffs, and fade free sublimated graphics. As for the gloves, we received Fox’s Flexair gloves. These gloves are designed with the minimalist in mind. They feature a single layer on the palm with no padding, silicone grip on the index and pointer fingers, padded knuckle coverage, and specially designed ventilation.

Like we said, we’ve always been big fans of Fox’s gear, and this year is no different. The fit of the 360 pants is slimmer than other styles in Fox’s lineup, but for us, that’s a good thing. When we first slipped the pants on, they fit perfectly. There was enough room for knee braces with even a little to spare, and the cuff-less lower leg was also an added bonus, as the pants didn’t bunch up once boots were put on and tightened down. The articulating rear yoke and stretch panels on the knees also aided in the comfort of the pants, and helped them move and stretch as we pounded out laps. As for the jersey, it too was just as comfortable. It fit just right, and with the longer rear tail, never came un-tucked. One minor complaint that we do have, though, is that on hot days, the SFX jersey that we tested doesn’t breath at all. With no ventilation we don’t recommend this jersey if you’re riding in the heat a lot. We do, however, recommend one of Fox’s more vented jerseys in the line up. They make so many, that there is always one to match any Fox pants you own. Finally, the gloves were exceptional. We ride a lot, and prefer not to have much padding on the palms, and the Flexair gloves offer just that. Despite no padding on the palms, though, the knuckles have just enough protection to keep your digits safe from flying roost and rocks.

RATING

At the end of the day, we would recommend anyone to buy this gear. It looks cool, is comfortable, and does an exceptional job of keeping you safe. And at around 150 bucks, it’s priced relatively well for the quality you receive.

I've tried Foxes competor's stuff and the fox 360 pant is the best I have used. The jerseys bomb proof and the gloves are the best. I loved my 07 gear and I am sure to be very happy with my 08 gear. Thanks for making such a great product.
The gear is cool but it has seamed short in the arms and legs for a taller rider like myself. Is this still a problem or have they addressed this?
This gear looks so awesome fox is the best
