As one of the leaders in the motorcycle exhaust business, FMF is always raising the bar. And with their titanium slip-on exhaust system, they have done it once again. Available for most late-model mxers, FMF’s Ti PowerCore muffler is both affordable and effective.

Some of the key features on this muffler include a removable spark arrestor for all the off-road riders out there, allen bolts that make repacking super easy, and a low noise level at 99dB. All of which are designed to improve performance, yet not put a huge dent in your pocket book.

As for the performance of the muffler, we were impressed. On the track there is definitely a difference in over-rev and top-end pull. The only thing that the muffler doesn’t do is add a ton of power down low. In stock form, the KX250F lacks a little low-end pull and this muffler doesn’t do a lot to boost that portion of the powerband. We do like how the muffler is easy to repack. Factor in the affordable price of it and how easy it is to service, and the PowerCore muffler’s coolness factor goes up exponentially.

RATING
While the pipe didn’t make a huge difference in the power of our KX250F, it did add a little. And if you consider the price of the muffler, craftsmanship, and affordability, even a minor change in power is more than most pipes at the same price can claim. For those who are looking for an affordable pipe that performs exceptionally well, this is one great choice.

I Put this pipe on my 07 YZ450F and I really like how it looks and sounds, I can also feel a slight power boost down low and revs out further then the stock setup. I watched this review tons of times before making the decision to go with this pipe...I'm glad I did!
